𝗣𝗛𝗔π—₯𝗠𝗔 π—˜π—«π—£π—₯π—˜π—¦π—¦ is adopting the use of carbon inserting, as part of our broader roadmap to decarbonize our operations.

When it comes to drawing up sustainability strategies, players in the freight sector face an uphill challenge. Logistics is a fast-growing sector of activity, and mobility is essential to our way of life. At the same time, the supply chain sector is the most significant contributor to environmental pollution. It is the first sector in the emission of greenhouse gases and the first consumer of petroleum products.

The environmental impact of logistics

Of course, there are several important manners of transport: land, sea, air, but we’ll address the main one: land logistics.

Logistics transportation emits high greenhouse gas emission rates. Transport and road traffic, in particular, produce fine particles that pollute the outside air, which is dangerous to humans and ecosystems.

Another environmental impact connected to the logistics and supply chain sector is the excess and wasteful packaging attached to the industry. That contributes to more waste incineration activities that help produce harmful gases that affect the environment and increase the amount of plastic thrown in the ocean every day.

How can logistics reduce environmental impact?

We all know how logistics isn’t known for its high level of sustainability in the industry. Still, green logistics, also known as environmental logistics, aims to reduce the carbon footprint of logistics operations, lower air, soil, sound, and water pollution, and use raw materials sensibly.

𝗣𝗛𝗔π—₯𝗠𝗔 π—˜π—«π—£π—₯π—˜π—¦π—¦ measures to reduce our environmental impact:

High end eco vehicles

All of our transporter vans are state of the art, and respect all enforced pollution norms.

In the near future we also plan to acquire electric vehicles to lower even more our carbon footprint.

Optimize Routes

Route optimization software can analyze critical logistics issues such as vehicle availability, traffic conditions, and labor availability for loading and unloading. Logistics operations can optimize and streamline routes to reduce carbon emissions with automated route planning.

Ecologic cooling systems

All of our vehicles employ environmentally friendly cooling system, which, not only, do they keep the transported goods in perfect condition, but also, do not release harmful gases into the atmosphere.

Constant Training

Our staff (both the drivers as also the operators) are constantly trained in order to adopt eco-friendly solutions to transporting medicine.
